Two HSJ Digital Award Shortlists for HNY ICB
Interweave are delighted to share the news that our partner organisations have also been shortlisted for HSJ Digital Awards through their use of the Interweave platform and the Yorkshire and Humber Shared Care Record (YHCR).
Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (HNY ICB) have announced two shortlisted applications which further show how Interweave and our partners are being recognised for excellence in the digital field thanks to the YHCR. The prestigious HSJ Digital Awards showcase the incredible impact of digital innovation in health and care.
The HNY ICB Shared Care Records have been shortlisted in the category of Unlocking Productivity and Efficiency with Digital.This transformative programme has revolutionised how health and care providers across Humber and North Yorkshire collaborate. By integrating the Yorkshire and Humber Shared Care Records across Primary Care, Local Authorities, Acute Trusts, Ambulance Services, and even Police Custody suites, the initiative has delivered tangible efficiencies and improved patient outcomes.
With over 103,000 GP record accesses per month, £2.1 million in annual efficiency savings, which equates to 12,000 staff days saved, this project is a benchmark for digital excellence.
Unlocking productivity and efficiency is at the heart of our digital strategy. By harnessing the power of the Yorkshire and Humber Shared Care Record (YHCR), we are removing barriers, streamlining workflows, and ultimately ensuring that clinicians have access to the right information at the right time to provide the best possible care.
A clinician involved in the programme highlighted its value:

The second of their shortlisting’s was in the category of Digital Leader of the Year. John Mitchell, Associate Director of Digital at HNY ICB, has been shortlisted for the Digital Leader of the Year award, recognising his exceptional leadership in driving digital transformation. His work on programmes such as the Electronic Palliative Care Coordination System (EPaCCS) has had a profound impact, ensuring that end-of-life care preferences are shared seamlessly, leading to a dramatic reduction in hospital deaths (14% vs. the national average of 42-45%).
