York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Expands Care Record Capabilities
York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (Y&SFT) have made significant strides in enhancing their digital health infrastructure by going live with several key resources through Interweave Care Record. The newly implemented resources include:
- Allergies
- Appointments
- Encounters
- Location
- Practitioner
- Observations
- Diagnostic Reports (encompassing both pathology and radiography)
- Conditions
This advancement is part of Y&SFT’s ongoing commitment to improving data provision and interoperability across healthcare services. Over the past year, the Trust has been diligently working on data provision projects, with several resources already live prior to this latest phase.
The implementation of these resources aligns with the objectives of the Shared Care Record’s Minimum Viable Dataset (MVD), which aims to standardise and streamline patient information sharing across healthcare providers. Y&SFT currently leads in MVD compliance among Trusts, achieving a 75% compliance rate.
Future digital transformation efforts will focus on the implementation of a new Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system, with Nervecentre selected as the preferred supplier. This new system is expected to further enhance patient care and operational efficiency across the Trust.
