The Notts Care Record Is Now Live!
Digital Notts, the digital transformation team for Nottingham and Nottinghamshire ICB, has announced the launch of the Notts Care Record, a comprehensive shared care record designed to improve health and social care integration across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.
This significant milestone marks a new era for care in Nottinghamshire, enabling health and social care professionals to access vital information seamlessly and provide more coordinated and efficient care.

The Notts Care Record will be used by partners from across the local health and social system including:
- Primary Care
- Nottingham University Hospitals Trust
- Sherwood Forest Hospitals Trust
- Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals
- Nottinghamshire Healthcare Trust
- Nottinghamshire County Council
- eHealthscope/GP Repository of Clinical Care (GPRCC)
The Notts Care Record includes a wide range of data such as medications, diagnoses, allergies, referrals, care packages, safeguarding flags and more. As of June 2025, 1,500 users had accessed the record, viewing over 26,000 unique patient records. These early adopters include frontline teams from our acute Trusts, saving multiple phone calls and delays.
Over the coming summer, partners will continue migrate over 4,500 users across nine organisations, as well as rolling out to new users. The transition to the Notts Care Record involves migrating users from existing shared care records. The current GP data viewer, the MIG, will be decommissioned at the end of September, and the current health and care portal will be turned off in November 2025.
The launch of the Notts Care Record is a significant milestone for Digital Notts and our health and social care partners within Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. As rollout continues, the record will continue to bring benefits to our workforce and patients.

The Notts Care Record is a testament to our dedication to improving patient outcomes and ensuring that our health and social care professionals have the tools they need to provide the best possible care.”
He added, “We have listened to the feedback from the existing portal users and have both built upon the success and addressed many of their unmet needs in the new Notts Care Record. For the first time, users will be able to view data from Community Health providers, Doncaster & Bassetlaw Hospitals Trust and our local eHealthScope/GPRCC system, which provides data on Frailty, End of Life and Diabetes care.”
As members of the NHS-owned Interweave consortium, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire ICS are joint owners of the technology behind our Shared Care Record, along with four other ICSs. The partnership offers flexibility and influence over our Shared Care Record, whilst also giving us access to a wealth of shared learning and new opportunities for collaboration.
