Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council now sharing their data into YHCR

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council has become the latest local authority to begin adding its data into the Yorkshire and Humber Care Record (YHCR), making it ever more comprehensive.

Following Sheffield City Council and Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council adding their adult social care services data into the digital platform, Rotherham has now followed suit with information being provided on social care services, with data following on social care assessments in due course.

The YHCR gives health and care professionals directly involved in an individual’s care a more complete view of the care and treatment that an individual has received across all services. The shared care record platform securely connects information from hospitals, GPs, mental health services and social care providers, ensuring professionals have the most up-to-date information when they need it.

Holly Smith, Change Lead at Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council, said: “Adding Rotherham’s adult social care information into the Yorkshire and Humber Care Record is an important step in improving how we support our residents. By making more up-to-date and detailed information available to professionals across health and social care services, we’re helping to create a more joined-up view of each person’s needs. This means staff can make better informed decisions and provide more coordinated, personalised care, ultimately improving outcomes for the people we serve.”
