National Digital Healthcare Representatives to Gather for Annual Shared Care Record Summit in Birmingham
The Shared Care Record Summit will return for its third year on Wednesday 29 October 2025 at the ICC Birmingham, bringing together health and social care leaders, patients and suppliers to explore the progress and future of shared care records.
The event opens with a welcome from the hosts and quickly leads into a poignant insight from the parent of a patient, who will share their own lived experience and journey through healthcare. From there, the day will showcase a diverse mix of international insights, national programmes, workshops and interactive sessions.
Highlights include an overview of the European Health Data Space from Prof Henrique Martins, and insights into Australia’s SPARKED programme from Kate Ebrill. Senior representatives from UK Military Health will be sharing their experience of interoperability in military healthcare, while case studies closer to home will highlight the wider impact of the Greater Manchester Care Record and the learning from the NRL First of Type programme.
Workshops and interactive elements will draw on the creativity of attendees and include a session exploring how success can be measured when working with Shared Care Records. A Hackathon will also take place on the day, a term which describes a time-limited and often intensive activity whereby its participants aim to problem solve and create prototypes.
The day concludes with a summary of learnings from the day and reflections on how digital health and social care representatives from across the country can work together, and with partners and suppliers, to improve the patient and staff experience.
This is a national event that aims to highlight the progression made across regional and local care settings in England for the sharing of care records. Invited technology partners are an active ingredient to the conference and can help support the latest solutions as well as the functionality and progress connecting care records.
Attendance at the event in person is free for public sector employees who register. Though remaining places are extremely limited, anyone can join the event virtually via the host organisation, Interweave’s Youtube Channel.
