Leeds Teaching Hospitals Expand Data Sharing

In November 2025, Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust went live with the sharing of four additional data resources on the Yorkshire & Humber Care Record. This milestone means the Trust is now sharing eight out of ten items from its Minimum Viable Data Set, representing a significant step forward in data availability and interoperability.

The new resources now being shared are appointments, encounters, location and referral requests. This means that once diagnostic reports and medications are added, Leeds will be sharing their full set of data.

Expanding the range of shared information enhances clinicians’ ability to access timely, relevant patient data, supporting safer informed decision-making and improved continuity of care across organisations. This progress reflects Leeds Teaching Hospitals’ ongoing commitment to digital maturity and collaborative working across the health and care system.

The increased data sharing strengthens the Yorkshire & Humber Care Record and contributes to more joined-up care for patients across the region, helping professionals to deliver better outcomes through improved information access.
