Interweave Wins at the HTN Now Awards 2025

Interweave are delighted to announce we have won an award in the Shared Care Record category at the Health Tech News (HTN) Now Awards 2025.

The awards help to share and celebrate digital teams, programmes, innovations and health tech suppliers that have made a difference throughout the year. 

The project which won Interweave this award looked at the variation in digital maturity across the health and social care system and how this presented challenges in creating a ‘single source of the truth’. It was found that there are disparate, legacy systems lacking interoperability and a lack of standards.

Through their winning project, the team addressed this by helping providers map their data to FHIR, and commissioned vendors to assist where local expertise was lacking or alternative priorities prevailed. Following the first phase wave of data provision, it became clear that the Care Connect FHIR standard was too flexible, making it very difficult to blend data from multiple sources. Our approach was to develop our own FHIR Implementation Guide which is now embedded across regions areas and includes new social care profiles. The buy-in of patients as stakeholders has been a core input and many patient engagements have been conducted, including through workshops, surveys, public awareness campaigns, and more.

The panel of judges awarding the accolades was made up of experienced and insightful NHS professionals from across the industry.  This coveted award was announced at the virtual ceremony on 29 January 2025 by Vidhya Mohan, a Senior Digital Programme Manager from East London NHS Foundation Trust.
